Berliner Synchron enjoys working as a partner of the client in the effort to exploit a theatrical or television format in our territory, both artistically and economically. A Film is not only a cultural but also an economical product and the considerable production costs can only be recouped through worldwide distribution. It has to be made “comprehensible” for the audience, and we have to achieve this with language as our only tool.

“It is almost like having witnessed a miracle”, wrote the Filmkurier as early as 1929. The “miracle” was the fact, that the English language actors of the movie BROADWAY spoke German “as easily and fluently as if it were their native tongue”.

After more than 75 years of “talkies” no one would think that they are witnessing a “miracle” when they see a dubbed film. On the contrary, Berliner Synchron aims to do a job so well that it is not noticed at all.
